This year’s lecture will focus on the impact of the climate crisis on human health with guest lecturers Robert D. English, Director of Central European Studies, Associate Professor, International Relations, Environmental Studies, Slavic Languages and Literature, and  Robert I. Nigmatulin, Member of the Presidium of Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific Chief, Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Chairman, Wave and Gas Dynamics of Lomonosov University of Moscow.

Aiming to inspire humanity in the medical profession, the Vladimir Zelman, MD, PhD, Distinguished Lectureship engages prominent individuals to elevate the community at Keck and USC with their expertise, vision, and excellence. Previous lecture guests include Nobel laureate Arieh Warshel; former NASA astronaut and current Director of Space Operations at SpaceX Garrett Reisman; and Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer David Hume Kennerly.
