Talk: Yelp’s Multi-Platform Schematized Logging Infrastructure

In this talk, I will go over Yelp’s schematized logging infrastructure and how it supports multiple client and server side platforms. This infrastructure uses Yelp’s data pipeline to log events. I'll also discuss how the event schemas are registered and used for publishing schematized events. Once these events are logged or published on the data pipeline, we will see how the events are forwarded to data stores for data analysis. After the data is available in a data store there are several interfaces which can be used to query this data. This talk will also describe how this infrastructure provides a unified ecosystem for experimentation and product analytics.
