DESCRIPTION:The Women in Science and Engineering Program (WiSE) is hosting 
 a series of talks aimed at connecting undergraduate and graduate students i
 n STEM with USC WiSE alumni this fall semester. Alumni are invited back to 
 share their career path\, what helped them persevere\, what they have been 
 working on since graduation\, and why they encourage students to continue o
 n their STEM paths.\n\nSpeaker:\nKatrina Mikhaylichenko\nSr. Director\, Pro

  Work for it.\n\n \n\nDr. Mikhaylichenko is a passionate USC alumna\, who e
 arned her Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry in 1998 working in Professor C
 urt Wittig’s Lab on photodissociation dynamics of small polyatomic molecule
 s in the gas phase. Katrina joined the semiconductor capital equipment indu
 stry right after graduating from USC. Since 2013\, Katrina has been working
  at Applied Materials\, where she currently is a Senior Director of Technol
 ogy in the Chemical Mechanical Polishing Business Unit\, responsible for te
 chnology development for Dielectric CMP and post-CMP Cleans.\n\nPrior to jo
 ining Applied Materials\, Dr. Mikhaylichenko worked 15+ years at Lam Resear
 ch Corp. There\, she led technology development efforts in the areas of def
 ect reduction\, wet etch\, and surface preparation in various wet processin
 g divisions. Katrina has been granted over 100 patents. She is passionate a
 bout enabling innovation and instigating positive change.\n\nRegister here:
