Drawing from themes of his new book, “We Have Never Been Woke: The Cultural Contradictions of a New Elite," Columbia University sociologist Dr. Musa al-Gharbi explores how most scholars and journalists on the "blue" line of political charts lead us to focus inordinately on the "red" line, and often to discuss the people on the "red" line in prejudicial ways -- frequently in defiance of our own empirical evidence. CPF Board of Councilors member Ken Broad will give opening remarks. The talk is for USC students, staff, and faculty only.

Tuesday October 15
6:00pm – 7:15pm
Dean’s Conference Room, Ralph and Goldy Lewis Hall (RGL) 308

This discussion is being held in partnership between the budding and still informal USC Heterodox Academy group and the mighty USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future with huge thanks to sponsor Ken Broad. Food and drink are not provided, so please don’t come hangry. The room holds 25 people, so come on time if you want a spot. First come, first served. For safety, the doors will be closed when room capacity is reached. We look forward to a spirited and civil presentation with fellow Trojans.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
