Maureen McHale is the Assistant Dean and Director of Undergraduate Advising and Student Affairs at the Marshall School of Business.  Maureen provides support and guidance to the faculty on academic programs and student affairs and her portfolio includes advising, first year experience programs, academic support, and student organizations.  She has a wide range of experience in the area of undergraduate education having served as the Senior Dean of the Advising Center at Columbia University, overseen Instructional Improvement Programs at UCLA's Office of Instructional Development, and managed student retention and international programs at UCLA Summer Sessions,  She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Psychology, an MA in Higher Education and Work, and a PhD in Higher Education and Organizational Change.  While in graduate school, her research focused on student retention and the impact of college on students' attitudes and values,  Maureen has over 25 years of professional work experience in the field of higher education and been at USC since 2008.
