 s are surprised to discover that it takes more than an American degree to 
 get a job in the U.S. Job-seekers need to understand the unique challenges
  facing international students. In this presentation\, Dan Beaudry\, forme
 r recruiter and author\, provides expert tips for international students t
 o find jobs in the U.S.\n\nDan is the author of the book Power Ties: The I
 nternational Student’s Guide to Finding a Job in the United States.  Ove
 r the past 5 years\, he has delivered presentations to thousands of intern
 ational students of all disciplines at over 80 universities and business s
 chools across the United States. He has also been a guest speaker at the N
 ational Association of Colleges and Employers\, the MBA Career Services an
 d Employer Alliance\, the HR Planning Society\, the International Careers 
 Consortium\, and the National Association of Asian MBAs. Dan has been quot
 ed in The Wall Street Journal\, Voice of America\, The Straits Times and m
 any other media outlets.\n\nDan served as the Campus Recruiting Manager fo
 r Monster.com where he constructed and managed the company’s first forma
 l university recruiting program\, including the growth and management of M
 onster’s MBA Executive Development and Leadership program. Prior to join
 ing Monster\, Dan was the Associate Director of Corporate Recruiting for t
 he Questrom School of Business at Boston University where he developed the
  school’s “International Student Employment Series”\; an annual prog
 ram of seminars guiding students from India\, East Asia and South America 
 through the US job search process.\n\nDan began his career in management c
 onsulting\, and also spent time as a headhunter during the dot.com boom an
 d bust. He now works full time in business development for two internation
 al organizations\, providing career support and international relations so
