The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is pleased to release its inaugural Cancer Disparities Progress Report to Congress and the American public. This report, the first of its kind, features the latest research on why disparities in cancer incidence, diagnosis, treatment, and survival exist, and what can be done to address them. The report has been developed by the preeminent cancer disparities researchers in the country and builds upon the AACR’s longstanding commitment to reducing cancer disparities through research, education, and policy, including our annual conference on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities.
The keynote speaker is John Carpten, PhD, professor and chair of translational genomics and director of the Institute of Translational Genomics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Carpten will also moderate a discussion with guests.
