#StemcellIn-person or Register via Zoom at https://usc.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAqdOmvrDwiHdZyplxWIV0xNNCRq_5LNYNp
Changes in external environment such as temperature elicit a whole-body response affecting multiple systems. However, it is unclear how global systemic changes converge to regulate stem cells activity. We show that in the skin, which forms a barrier with the outside world, a direct interaction between sympathetic nerves and hair follicle stem cells allow a coupling between tissue growth and environmental changes.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
