This talk will focus on the evolutionary origins of knee osteoarthritis, and the impacts that regulatory variants have on OA risk and hip dysplasia. In this talk, I will discuss functional genomics and targeted genetic approaches that allowed us to identify causal knee OA variants in mice and humans.
