The vasculature in the skeletal system controls bone formation and provides niches for hematopoietic stem cells, but the heterogeneity and functional specialization of vessels and endothelial cell subpopulations remain little understood. The presentation will discuss critical roles of specialized blood vessels in developing, regenerating and aging bone and marrow.
