Digging Deep: Stromal Cells in Tissue Repair

While some adult organisms can fully regenerate tissues after injury, most adult mammals lack regenerative capacity and form scars to repair tissues that declines with age and disease states. Horsley will discuss her lab teams work on how inflammatory cells and fibroblasts function to regulate tissue repair using skin as a model system. Her talk will illuminate projects that shed light on the interplay of metabolic regulation, cellular crosstalk, and apoptotic recognition in driving tissue repair.
