"From Single Cells to Tissues: Gut Endoderm Development in Mice"
The gut endoderm is the embryonic precursor of the respiratory and digestive tracts and their associated organs, including the lungs, liver and pancreas. By employing a combination of approaches including quantitative imaging, single-cell genomics and perturbations, we are determining mechanisms driving gut endoderm development in vivo in mouse embryos, and in vitro in mouse and human stem cell-based models. I will discuss ongoing studies determining the origin, fate and formation of the gut endoderm, and integrating single-cell resolution multiplexed imaging of gene expression to spatially annotate single-cell genomic data to map cell identities in 3D.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
