Karen Sears, PhD, "The Development and Evolution of Bats"
Bats are an incredibly diverse group of mammals, and are the only mammals that are capable of powered flight. The Sears Lab is studying the developmental processes that have enabled the radiation of bats into diverse ecological niches. In this talk, Dr. Sears will discuss ongoing research into bat dental, sensory, and limb evolution and development.
Dr. Sears is Professor and Chair of the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, UCLA
