We are honored to welcome our guests Parviz Sayyad, Mary Apick, and Apick Youseffian to our first PACSA Cinematheque event of the semester on Thursday, October 25th. We will be screening “Dead End”, a film written and directed by Parviz Sayyad, a celebrated actor, director, and screenwriter of Iranian cinema. Mr. Sayyad is well remembered for his role in his first film, “Hasan Kachal” and his role as “Samad Agha” in the famous “Samad” film series. 

Mary Apick is an Iranian-Armenian stage, television and film actress who won the award for Best Actress at the 10th Moscow International Film Festival for her role in the film “Dead End.” Her mother, Apick Youssefian, is also known for her role in “Dead End” as well as other films such as “The Cry of the Village” and “The Keeper.”

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
