#WelcomeToUSCThe Joint Educational Project currently partners with 50+ neighborhood sites to create service-learning opportunities for students. Most JEP assignments require two hours of service per week for eight weeks during the semester. Every year more than 1,500+ USC students enroll in JEP to gain hands-on experience in neighborhood schools, local clinics and non-profit organizations.
JEP is excited to announce that we will be offering many service-learning JEP assignments this fall. Like last semester, we worked hard to make sure that students have the opportunity to participate in JEP in a safe, meaningful, and productive way that aligns with JEP's values and mission.
We are planning to offer almost all of our regular service-learning options (select mini-courses—e.g. HBIO, Peace Project, Little Yoginis, tutoring as well as some community-based organization placements) in person this semester.* We will obviously continue to monitor the situation and safety of our assignments and will adapt our modalities if necessary.
We are aware that you are likely to have many questions about how this will work, so we have made a special website and a live Zoom room for you (open M-F, 8:30am-5pm) to answer all of your questions. Go here to learn more: https://dornsife.usc.edu/joint-educational-project/sign-up/
Sign Up deadline: September 2nd, 2022
*There are very limited exceptions for modified online assignments for specific reasons that are very unique to specific classes or individuals. For more information, please contact us.
