According to the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, in 2021 there was a 339% increase in anti-Asian hate crimes in the U.S. The factors behind the increase in anti-Asian hate and their impact on communities will be the subject of a conversation with experts Connie Chung Joe and Russell Jeung, moderated by Professor Emily Ryo. The group will look at how cases are being addressed in the courts, by the police, and in the public square.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
