Talk title: "Identifying and characterizing inherited mutations in lung cancer”
The Center for Genetic Epidemiology is hosting an in-person and virtual seminar with Dr. Semanti Mukherjee, (https://www.mskcc.org/research-areas/labs/members/semanti-mukherjee), Assistant Attending Geneticist and Director of Bioinformatics at the Niehaus Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Mukherjee holds a Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences from the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and her focus is on developing statistical genetics methods and algorithms to analyze large scale genomic data (GWAS and next-generation sequencing –whole genome sequencing and exome-sequencing), and integrating different omic-data ( gene expression microarrays, RNASeq ) to unravel molecular mechanism and pathophysiology of complex diseases like cancer, psychiatric, neurological disorders and metabolic diseases.
