 tic Epidemiology is hosting a virtual seminar with Adam Locke\, Ph.D\, Dir
 ector of Statistical Genetics at Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC). He earne
 d a B.A in Biology from Lawrence University in 2003\, and a PhD in Genetic
 s & Molecular Biology from Emory University in 2010. Before joining the RG
 C in June of 2020\, he was an Assistant Professor at Washington University
  School of Medicine in the McDonnell Genome Institute. He has been a leade
 r in the application of genome-wide association studies\, consortium-based
  GWAS meta-analysis\, and genome and exome-sequencing data to understand t
 he genetic contributions to type 2 diabetes\, obesity\, and psychiatric di
 sorders. At the RGC\, he leads a statistical genetics team focused on disc
 overy genetics in cardiovascular\, metabolic\, and skeletal diseases.
