"Gynecology and Health: The intersection of non-malignant conditions, lifestyle factors, and ovarian cancer", Holly Harris, ScD, Associate Professor, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.

 

Dr. Holly Harris is an Associate Professor in the Epidemiology Program and Public Health Sciences Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Dr. Harris is an epidemiologist who studies the impact of lifestyle, nutrition and genetic factors on women’s health. Her research is focused specifically on ovarian and breast cancer, as well as the hormonally related conditions that share reproductive risk factors with these diseases. In this talk, Dr. Harris will discuss the relation of non-malignant gynecologic conditions: polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and fibroids with ovarian cancer risk as well as Black-White disparities in ovarian cancer survival.
