Dr. Va Lecia Adams Kellum is the President and CEO of St. Joseph Center, headquartered in Venice, CA.  She graduated with honors from USC in 1988. While on campus she received a Town and Gown of USC scholarship and actively participated in The Black Student Union and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Iota Beta Chapter.  She went on to obtain her Master’s degree from Ball State and completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Stanford University.
 
St. Joseph Center is the lead service provider for individual and family services in Los Angeles County’s Service Planning Area 5.  During her tenure, the agency has grown fivefold, expanded its geographic reach to include South Los Angeles, and provided leadership in the County’s new Coordinated Entry System for individuals and families. Earlier this year, Dr. Adams Kellum co-emceed Los Angeles County’s First Annual Homeless Initiative Conference and in February 2017, she was appointed by Governor Brown to the statewide No Place Like Home Program Advisory Committee. 
 
Dr. Adams Kellum will present a Trojan Talk on Monday, October 2nd from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.  Please join us, to hear more about her career journey and the vital work St. Joseph Center is doing in the fight to end homelessness!
