Join veteran Democratic strategist Bob Shrum and Republican srategist Mike Murphy for a balanced and witty conversation about the latest political headlines. Shrum is a legendary Democratic strategist and speechwriter for politicians, including Ted Kennedy, Al Gore, and John Kerry. Murphy is a veteran Republican campaign strategist and has worked for candidates Arnold Shwarzenegger, Jeb Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. Murphy and Shrum are two long-time rivals and political insiders who lead USC's Center for the Political Future, which aims to bring civil, fact-based dialogue back to politics. Bring your questions for audience Q&A at the end.
The Center for the Political Future brings political professionals together from both sides of the aisle and models bipartisan discussions for students and the national political stage. The center's mission is to "combine rigorous intellectual inquiry, teaching, and practical politics to advance civil dialogue that transcends partisan divisions and explores solutions to our most pressing national and global challenges.
This event is in partnership with the USC Political Student Assembly.
