Over the past decade, several studies have revealed that practicing pharmacists agree that pharmacists are uniquely positioned to lead inter-professional efforts to order pharmacogenomic tests and interpret test results. Pharmacists are also uniquely qualified to lead efforts to guide optimal drug selection and dosing, similar to the valued role they take within the healthcare team to provide medication therapy management and comprehensive medication management. This webinar will review the basic foundations of pharmacogenomics in patient care, the established and emerging evidence in the field.
