The USC School of Pharmacy has been a primary collaborator with the City of Los Angeles COVID-19 Vaccination Program. Through the efforts of the COVID-19 program, nearly 1.3 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered at city-run sites, including Dodger Stadium, Lincoln Park, Cal State LA, Union Station, Los Angeles International Airport, and mobile units. Pharmacists and student pharmacists have been fully integrated into these efforts and have demonstrated value throughout the process. This webinar will review the implementation process and evaluate the impact of the school’s vaccination program.
Additionally, this session will review the current evidence and recommendations for the COVID-19 vaccine. It has been nearly nine months since the first vaccine received emergency use authorization and since then, the landscape of the pandemic has significantly changed. Dr. Richard Dang and Dr. Carla Blieden will discuss the current efficacy and safety data, the impact of the Delta variant on the vaccine, and the potential need for booster doses.
