Pharmacists are responding to the call to action as the nation struggles with the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As one of the most accessible healthcare providers, pharmacists and pharmacy workers provide essential services to their community by ensuring access to medications and clinical services. However, the profession’s response has not been without its own unique challenges and barriers. This program will discuss the issues that pharmacy associations have encountered while navigating and understanding the impact of COVID-19 on pharmacy operations, workplace protections, and provider status (as it pertains to payment/reimbursement and the desire to test-treat-immunize).
