Alcohol use disorders (AUDs) have challenged our society for many generations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, alcohol sales have skyrocketed, resulting in an even greater level of alcohol misuse. Over the course of this webinar, Dr. Davies will discuss some of the recent ramifications of COVID-19 on increases in unhealthy alcohol consumption and how alcohol misuse impacts health.

Dr. Daryl L. Davies is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the USC School of Pharmacy. He also serves as the Director of the USC Science, Technology and Research/Engineering for Health Academy (STAR/EHA) program. He specializes in pharmacotherapies for drugs of abuse, alcohol abuse and dependence, dietary supplements as an alternative for drug therapy, neurobiology of addiction, neuropsychiatric disorders, neurodegenerative disorders drug safety and toxicology.
