Francisco J. Galarte is an Assistant Professor of American Studies and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of New Mexico where he teaches courses in Chicanx, Latinx and transgender studies. He is also the Director of the Feminist Research Institute at the University of New Mexico. He has been involved with TSQ: Transgender Studies Quarterly since the journal’s inception in 2011 and served as the Fashion Editor from 2012-2018, he has served as a co-general editor of TSQ since 2018 and manages TSQ’s companion digital publication TSQ*Now.
