The Skaggs Graduate School of Chemical and Biological Sciences Open House with Scripps Research Faculty, Graduate Students and Staff

You’re invited to Scripps Research’s Graduate School Virtual Open House! Join us on October 11, 2021 for a live chat with our faculty members, admissions committee staff, and current graduate students. You’ll discover what it means to earn your doctoral degree at Scripps Research, how to navigate the online application process, and daily life as a grad student.

This is a two-hour virtual open house event dedicated to gaining a better understanding of the requirements and materials needed for a successful application to graduate school. Graduate Office representatives will be available during the first session to respond to questions about the application submission, as well as the program expectations and requirements. The second session will feature a panel of faculty who have reviewed thousands of applications and will discuss what the committees are looking for in future candidates. Faculty will also discuss the unique aspects of the Scripps Research graduate school experience. Finally, a panel of current Scripps Research grad students will present in the third session of this event with tips on how to craft your application, write a strong research statement, and answer interview questions.

RSVP via the Events tab and select Workshops in connectSC to view webinar details.
