We are hosting a virtual screening of The Mess, followed by a recorded panel discussion at the Global Story Fest, Dec. 2-5, 2022. This event is an invitation for all audiences to be more aware of, understand and engage in conversations about mental health.
The Mess is a powerful 4-minute short film that visually narrates Ellice’s experiences and gradual acceptance of the cyclical nature of the highs and lows of bipolar disorder.
The powerless, unmotivated, alien and out-of-control feelings and how they are reflected in our living environments may resonate with a lot of people, especially due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its continuing impacts. Through this cinematic representation, we hope to extend the conversation to people’s experiences with any mental health concerns and challenges.
