Dr. Wanda Austin, USC Class of 1988, Ph.D., Systems Engineering, USC Interim President, internationally recognized businesswoman in aeronautics and systems engineering will provide the opening keynote address.
Inspired by the 2015 Ivy League First-Generation College Conference, the Office for the Diversity and Strategic Initiatives at USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences founded this summit to educate and engage students, faculty and staff on issues specific to first-generation college students. The summit planning committee worked to coordinate an event rooted in the theme of community by selecting speakers, panelists and presenters who can provide insights, expertise and experiences on the rich and complex identity of being the first in the family to attend college.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
