Join us on Wednesday November 12th from 7:00 -9:30 PM at USC Tommy's Place for The Night Shift, an evening of lightning talks, film screenings, and performances exploring the entanglements of queer desire, erotic labor, and radical care. Assembling artists, scholars, and organizers who work at the intersections of performance, visual culture, gender, sexuality, race, and labor, this event reimagines what it means to think, feel, and create together after dark. Our evening will include a mixture of presentations and performances that explore kink (bondage, shibari), sex work, labor, disability advocacy, sensuality, and cruising.

Engaging topics from queer nightlife and sex work to community archives and mutual aid, participants will reflect on how embodied practices generate new forms of knowledge—especially in times when we are called to reconsider our relationships to research, institutions, and one another. What forms of erotic, intellectual, and collective labor sustain us through the night? What does it mean to turn the night shift into a site of pleasure, survival, and radical care?
