The 2024 campaign has been a roller coaster, a wild ride that may well continue past Election Day.

Whether you're thrilled or exhausted; seething or cheering; hate-watching or love-bombing the media and the candidates they cover -- this forum's for you. Don't miss this opportunity to speak your mind (concisely!) about the race and its stakes at this LAIH tradition bringing together voices from all perspectives since 2000.

Moderating the event is Marty Kaplan, a former speechwriter for Walter Mondale, studio executive at Disney, and screenwriter of "The Distinguished Gentleman" starring Eddie Murphy. An award-winning columnist for the "Jewish Journal," he holds the Norman Lear Chair and is founder and director of The Norman Lear Center at USC Annenberg, which explores the impact of media and entertainment on society.

The Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities is sponsored by the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Science at the University of Southern California, which contributes to office and meeting rooms and generously underwrites a portion of the Institute's annual budget. This luncheon is generously sponsored by The Norman Lear Center.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
