Spring 2019 GeoDesign Speaker Series presents Rob Stauder

Ever wonder why, in a world swimming in data, with high precision GPS, surveillance, satellites, drones, and location-based services (LBS), do 9-1-1 calls get routed to the wrong location or fail to get first responders to the correct location?

Why can commercial ventures like Uber and Lyft find you in moments but 9-1-1– cannot?

Please join Rob Stauder as he discussed this and how industry solutions are mediating the pressing issues pertaining to access of LBS data.

Mr. Stauder has 23 years of GIS experience and product management culminating in his current position enhancing public safety. 23 years ago, after attending a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) demo, he changed his course of study to participate in an emerging revolution of digital mapping and analysis. Rob has a graduate degree in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati.
