FLYER

Millions in the streets, secretive forces in the government, charges of corruption at the highest levels, the arrest of powerful tycoons, the impeachment and possible prosecution of the president: These have been the headlines dominating South Korea over the past five months, to be soon capped off by a hasty presidential election in early May. To consider the broader meaning of all this from the perspective of history and culture, this roundtable brings together scholars from USC and UCLA to lead a discussion. Refreshments will be served.

USC Dept. of History, Dept. of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the East Asian Studies Center, the Korean Heritage Library, and the USC Korean Humanities Group
