 23 internship or full-time analyst opportunity with our firm. Each session
  will consist of overviews of the various groups that hire into our progra
 ms led by the business members themselves followed by an open-forum Q&A se
 ssion. Since each session will be different\, students are encouraged to a
 ttend as many as they like.\n\nCorporate & Investment Banking Coverage - L
 ending Management Group\nThe Lending Management Group sits within the Corp
 orate & Investment Banking Coverage Department and is primarily responsibl
 e for credit underwriting\, deal documentation\, and closing and ongoing p
 ortfolio management. We support the Marketing Group within CIBC by driving
  transaction execution.\n\nStrategic Credit Products - Lenders Finance Gro
 up\nThe Lender Finance Group provides financing to financial institutions 
 primarily engaged in middle-market leveraged lending. LFG activities suppo
 rt both permanent financing for loan asset manager portfolios as well as w
 arehouse financing for CLOs which are arranged by Nikko. The group has pro
 vided $10 billion in asset-based or corporate facilities across ~15-20 cou
 nterparties.\n\nRisk Management\nThe Risk Management Department\, Americas
  Division (RMDAD) comprehensively and dynamically manages the risks facing
  SMBC across various risk stripes and categories. RMDAD plays a critical r
 ole in SMBC’s “second line of defense\,” overseeing and monitoring r
 isks across the firm\, creating sound risk management policies\, principle
 s\, and frameworks\, and working to ensure strong controls are in place to
  manage and promote informed risk taking.\n\nSMBC Capital Markets - Risk\n
 SMBC Capital Markets\, Inc. (SMBC CM) provides market liquidity and custom
 ized derivative solutions to corporate and institutional clients around th
 e globe. In addition\, SMBC offers regional fixed income and foreign excha
 nge expertise through 70+ offices in over 40 countries. We work in close c
 ollaboration with various relationship management partners and other produ
 ct specialists to provide integrated financing and risk management solutio
 ns to help our clients achieve their objectives.\n\nTransaction Banking\nT
 ransaction Banking (TRBD) works extensively across SMBC’s global footpri
 nt\, throughout major markets such as the United Kingdom and the EU\, APAC
