 nternship or analyst opportunity with our firm. Each session will consist 
 of overviews of the various groups that hire into our programs led by the 
 business members themselves followed by an open-forum Q&A session.\n\nLoan
  Capital Markets\nThe Loan Capital Markets Department is responsible for t
 he structuring\, underwriting\, execution and distribution of syndicated l
 oan transactions across all industry and origination groups at SMBC. LCM p
 rofessionals work with and advise the front office marketing (origination)
  units in order to successfully pitch corporate and financial sponsor clie
 nts in a combined effort to win lead-mandates for syndicated loan faciliti
 es. Proposals to prospective clients usually involve coordination and part
 nership with other SMBC and Nikko (our Securities unit) product groups (De
 bt Capital Markets\, FX\, Derivatives Marketing and so on) in order to pro
 vide comprehensive\, multiproduct financing solutions to our clients.\n\nS
 ubscription Secured Finance\nSMBC is a global leader in subscription-secur
 ed lending to private equity funds investing across multiple asset classes
 . SMBC offers financing to investment management firms that seek a flexibl
 e and inexpensive form of leverage to employ on closed-end\, private equit
 y funds\, for either commingled fund partnerships or single investor separ
 ate accounts. We manage relationships with over 80 Financial Sponsors\, sp
 anning the largest private equity firms globally and a large cross-section
  of mid-market sponsors.\n\nReal Estate Finance\nOur desk is a client-faci
 ng division of Specialized Finance Department\, responsible for delivering
  the full front-to-back spectrum of non-recourse commercial real estate fi
 nancing. We finance the following types of real estate: multifamily apartm
 ents\, logistics centers\, office buildings\, retail shopping centers\, ho
 tels\, data centers and so on.\n\nStructured Placement\nThe Structured Pla
 cement Group is the dedicated U.S. Private Placement (“USPP”) team wit
 hin SMBC Nikko. With a focus on project bond and corporate financings\, th
 e team provides global clients access to the USPP investor base. This inve
 stor base comprises many North American and select European and Asian pens
 ion funds\, insurance companies and other large institutions interested in
