The San Francisco Federal Executive Board is hosting a Multi-Federal Government Agency Virtual Federal Career and Hiring Fair on Thursday, March 18 from 9am-2pm PST with additional presentations for interested applicants on March 16 and 17.

Federal Benefits (Provided by VA - SF Veterans Affairs HCS)

Navigating USAJOBS (Provided by OPM - Office of Personnel Management)

During this information session, participants will be provided with specific information that will prepare them for Federal interviews. We will cover actions attendees should take prior to the interview, in addition to delivery methods, types of questions that may be asked during the interview and how to respond, as well as other considerations. After attending this session, attendees will be equipped with knowledge on how to prepare for successful interviews.

Discussion on Federal Benefits Including Fed Point, FedVip, and BENEFEDS (Provided by Fed Point)

We will discuss BENEFEDS, the enrollment and administration portal for the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) plans, as well as the Long Term Care Insurance program, available to you and your qualified relatives. We will review the importance of these benefits and the advantages of applying early. The presentation includes a review of FLTCIP eligibility, the application process, and cost, as well as the resources available at There will be a live Q&A session following the event. Current and prospective FLTCIP enrollees and are encouraged to attend.

Fulbright Scholars, Benjamin A. Gilman Scholars, and Critical Language Scholars (Provided by the Department of State)

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program supports U.S. undergraduate students of limited financial means (Pell Grant recipients) to study or intern abroad. Under the Gilman Program, the John McCain International Scholarship for Children of Military Families supports U.S. undergraduate students who are children of active duty military personnel to study or intern abroad. The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program provides fully funded intensive summer language institutes overseas in fifteen critical languages and is for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program sends recent college graduates and early career professionals to live, study and conduct research in countries across the globe. The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program places recent college graduates in classrooms in 75 countries to help teach English and serve as cultural ambassadors.

Discussion about Operation Warfighter and the E2I Program (Provided by Operation Warfighter)

Operation Warfighter (OWF) is a Department of Defense (DoD) internship program that provides opportunities for Recovering Service Members (RSMs) to participate in internships with Federal agencies during their rehabilitation process. These Federal internships allow RSMs to develop and practice newly assessed and identified work skills in a nonmilitary work environment.

The Education and Employment Initiative (E2I) is a collaborative effort, led by Department of Defense (DoD), with support from Federal, non-profit and private agencies, to address the synchronization, integration and possible expansion of existing education and employment support efforts for wounded, ill, and injured Service members. E2I postures the wounded, ill, and injured Service member to transition from active duty to civilian life by fine-tuning their career readiness for placement opportunities prior to transition.

If you have questions on how to apply for a Federal Job or are curious in working at the federal government, this webinar series is for you! This program provides insight into the main online Federal jobs portal, You’ll learn how to search for Federal jobs, maximize your search results, apply for Federal Jobs, and manage a USAJOBS account.

How to Register: Please register at Multi-Agency Regional Virtual Federal Job Fair. You must register via the Eventbrite in order to attend our events, as we will only be sending out platform links to registered attendees. Only a single registration is needed to gain access to all the events throughout the week. Please know that each agency will have their own platform so you will need to log into different agency events seperately. Many will be using Microsoft Teams, but there will be agencies also using Zoom, Google Meet, and WebEx. Please make sure to update your software.
