Integrity and accountability are among the University's Unifying Values. We must trust that student work is completed independently to represent increased knowledge. But what happens when that trust is broken and academic dishonesty is suspected?

This presentation will discuss the importance of reporting violations like plagiarism, cheating, and fabrication. Academic dishonesty harms students who engage in it, peers who feel pressured, and the institution’s reputation. Reporting promotes equity and upholds standards. Instructors will learn strategies for documentation, communicating with students, and reporting incidents to the Office of Academic Integrity. They will gain insight to directly address dishonesty while showing empathy.

Upholding academic integrity preserves education and research quality at USC. This program explains how instructors play a crucial role through proper misconduct reporting procedures. Join us to learn best practices for this important responsibility.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
