Reduced Course Load (RCL)

F-1/J-1 international students must enroll and complete a full course load each semester in order to maintain valid non-immigrant student status. There are only a few exceptions to the full-time enrollment requirement for the fall and spring semesters. Each RCL exception (category) has its own criteria, which will be outlined in this Zoom session.

Leave of Absence

F-1/J-1 international students who wish to take a semester off during the academic year (fall and spring semesters) and not enroll in courses must receive authorization for a Leave of Absence from the Office of International Services and their academic department. Join us via Zoom to learn more.
