About this Event
Join the USC-LACMA History of Photography Seminar for a launch of a special issue of Word & Image.
The “photobook” has been an object of much recent research in the history of photography. This special issue, presenting six essays and an introduction, takes a very different approach from their understanding as “works.” The essays here consider photo books that open our eyes to the multiple uses of photographs printed between the covers of a book. Join the essay authors and issue editors: Alice Morin, Jens Ruchatz, Vanessa Schwartz, Nadya Bair, Steven Samols, Adam Jolles and Josh Ellenbogen, Jayson Lantz in a discussion of their research.
RSVP to [email protected] for the Zoom link.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
