DESCRIPTION:About Yusuke Tsugawa\n\nYusuke Tsugawa\, MD\, MPH\, PhD is Assi
 stant Professor of Medicine at UCLA. Prior to joining the faculty at UCLA\
 , he was a health specialist at the World Bank group and a research fellow
  at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Tsuga
 wa received his PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University with a concen
 tration in statistics\, and his MPH from Harvard School of Public Health. 
 His research focuses on the variation in quality and costs of care across 
 individual physicians and its determinants. Dr. Tsugawa's research has bee
 n published in leading medical and health policy journals including JAMA I
 nternal Medicine\, BMJ and Lancet. The Altmetric selected Dr. Tsugawa's pa
 per comparing the quality of care between male and female physicians as th
 e 3rd most widely-read article in 2017 (https://www.altmetric.com/top100/2
 017). Dr. Tsugawa's research has also been featured in several media outle
 ts including The New York Times\, The Washington Post\, and National Publi
 c Radio.
