Join CPD and The Black Policy Institute for an online conversation focusing on the impact of technology in Africa, with a deep dive into data sovereignty and policy implications. This session will compare the African tech and AI landscape to Western counterparts, highlighting unique challenges and opportunities, and address the ease of data acquisition for AI development.
We will discuss the importance of data ownership for economic empowerment and sustainable development in Africa, proposing actionable strategies within relevant policy frameworks. Key policy actions aimed at enhancing AI adoption and implementation will also be explored, aiming to overcome barriers and foster growth.
