About this Event
650 Childs Way, Los Angeles, CA 90089
In her new book, The Second Estate, How the Tax Code Made an American Aristocracy, Boston College Law School Professor Ray Madoff lays bare how the tax code has been transformed to create two classes of Americans: working people at all levels of income who carry the cost of government and the wealthiest Americans who have been allowed to effectively secede to a tax-free version of American life, leaving the rest of us holding the bag.
Join Robert Price for an in-depth conversation with Madoff to learn how this transformation occurred and what we can do to create a fairer system in which everyone shares the costs of government. Robert Price is Chairman of the Board and President of Price Philanthropies Foundation and the Allison and Robert Price Family Foundation. He is also Executive Chairman of the Board of Pricesmart and cofounder of Price Club. His naming gift to the Price School was made in honor of his late father, Sol Price.
