Thanks for joining the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future for our Political Conversations series where notable politicians, political operatives, and policy experts come to campus to engage in a discussion with Director Bob Shrum.

Myers served as White House Press Secretary under President Bill Clinton. She was the first woman to hold that position. As a member of the president's inner circle, Myers participated in a wide range of events and initiatives, from the signing of the monumental Mid-East peace accords, to the passage of the president's first budget. Currently, Dee Dee Myers is Executive Vice President, Worldwide Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Warner Bros., where she oversees all of the company’s media relations, public positioning, executive communications, crisis management, corporate responsibility and philanthropy on a global basis.

Macks has written for Hollywood’s top television programs, including the most prestigious awards shows, late night programs and television specials. From 1992 through February 2014 he was a staff writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was also creator and consulting producer for the HBO series K Street. Prior to moving to Los Angeles he was one of the top political consultants in the country; since then he has provided debate prep for 5 Democratic presidential nominees and continues to advise and write speeches for a number of Democratic Senators, Governors and cabinet officials.

This event is in partnership with the Political Science Department.
