Stan Oklobdzija from UC Riverside will describe research that suggests that zoning and land use policy may inhibit residential mobility which in turns leads to segregated schools. His research drew on data from millions of residential parcels in America's 25 largest metro areas and illuminate how land use policy influences educational segregation and contributes to literature on how policies that regulate the built environment affect racial sorting.
