Polish composer and pedagogue Marcel Chyrzyński presents a lecture about his creative process, followed by a performance of his works by the dynamic Cracow Duo. A student of Marek Stachowski and Krzysztof Penderecki, Chyrzyński has been championed by such new music specialists as pianist Marek Szlezer and cellist Jan Kalinowski of the Cracow Duo, whose program will provide an intimate survey of Chyrzyński’s work including a world premiere of a piece for clarinet, cello, and piano.
