Students graduating in December should attend the OPT Modules, which are workshops host by OIS every weekday in September. Senior International Student Advisors will explain the OPT process and address OPT-related inquiries. Please arrive at or before the start time of the session. The Zoom room will be locked after the start time, ensuring a seamless workshop experience:

• Mondays (11:30 - 12:30pm) -  Module 1: OPT Basics, Applying for the OPT I-20, and Q&A
• Tuesdays (3:00 - 4:00pm) -  Module 1: OPT Basics, Applying for the OPT I-20, and Q&A
• Wednesdays (11:30 - 12:30pm) - Module 2: Completing the Form I-765, and Q&A
• Thursdays (3:00 - 4:00pm)- Module 2: Completing the Form I-765, and Q&A
• Fridays (11:30 - 12:30pm)- OPT Q&A Session

OIS LIVE Drop-In Advising will not be available for OPT-related advising in September. Students must attend the OPT modules for OPT related questions.

• OIS will begin accepting OIS I-20 requests on September 14, 2023
• OIS requires 10 business days to process OPT I-20 requests. This OPT I-20 is then submitted with additional documents to USCIS
• USCIS processing time can take 3-4 months
• OIS recommends students to apply as early as possible to avoid delays
