A Book Talk With Sherene Razack
Dr. Razack is a Distinguished Professor and the Penny Kanner
Endowed Chair in Women’s Studies in the Department of
Gender Studies, UCLA. Razack’s research and teaching focus
on racial violence. She is the founder of the virtual research and
teaching network Racial Violence Hub (RVHub.com). Her
books include Dying from Improvement: Inquests and Inquiries
into Indigenous Deaths in Custody (2015) and Casting Out:
Race and the Eviction of Muslims From Western Law and
Politics (2008). She is the co-editor with Suvendrini Perera of
At The Limits of Justice: Women of Colour on Terror (2014)
and co-editor with Malinda Smith and Sunera Thobani of
States of Race: Critical Race Feminism for the 21st Century
(2010).
