Join us for the Northeast Student Data Corps (NSDC) Data Science Career Panel taking place virtually on Friday, ​August 20th at 3:00 to 4:00pm ET. This event is for students and educators interested in learning more about exciting new data science careers, internships, and education opportunities from industry professionals, students and educators. You don't need to be in data science to join!

Our panelists on ​August 20th will be​:​
- Juan M. Lavista Ferres, Chief Scientist and Lab Director of the Microsoft AI For Good Research Lab​;​ ​
​- Benjamin Harvey, ​Director of Data Science at ​Maxar Technologies and ​Research Faculty at ​Johns Hopkins University​;
- Marie desJardins​, ​Dean of the College of Organizational, Computational, and Information Sciences at Simmons University​;
- Kuldip Singh, Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Central Florida (UCF).

Our panel moderators are Haleigh Stewart, a Senior at Columbia University, and ​Scott Blender, a Sophomore at Temple University and President of the Northeast Student Data Corps Philadelphia Chapter.

We welcome learners of all ages from around the world to join us, including undergraduate, graduate, high school and middle school students and educators. Beyond the great insights about data science education and careers and how it applies to nearly every science and business area, you will learn about free online data science education materials and career development resources available through the Northeast Student Data Corps, and how to start your own NSDC Chapter!
