National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) is a non-partisan civic holiday dedicated to making sure every American uses their precious right to vote. This year NVRD is on Tuesday, September 19, and we are celebrating at USC in Alumni Park.
For many people, their first time voting is in college. The USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future and several fabulous student organizations are here to make the registration process easy and accessible. Visit www.voteusc.com and get registered to vote no matter what state you live in. When you stop by we can chat about the simple way you can register to vote, find your polling place, request an absentee ballot, get election reminders, see a sample ballot, and even change your existing registration information.
Stop by for FREE FOOD and stick around to learn about our politically-minded student organizations on campus. Our artners include VoteSC, Trojan Democrats, USC Republicans, Political Student Assembly, USC Political Union, Women in Politics, Agents of Change, USC Center for Inclusive Democracy, USC Helenes, USG, SAGE, AKA, KSEA, The LAGOP & LACDP, and the Common Sense Party.
NVRD is a day of civic unity. It’s an opportunity to set aside differences, enjoy the rights and opportunities we all share as Americans, and celebrate our unique form of democracy. Organizations and volunteers across the country will join forces to promote voter registration opportunities for millions of potential voters.
