A panel of authors and experts will explore will the art and impact of music from multiple angles, including the relationship between music and mindfulness and how to succeed in the industry. Participants include three professors from the USC Thornton School of Music: Jeff Brabec, senior vice president of business and legal affairs for BMG Rights Management and co-author of Music, Money, and Success: The Insider’s Guide To Making Money in the Music Business; Lynn Helding, author of The Mindful Musician: Teaching, Learning & Performance in the Age of Brain Science; and Richard Wolf, Emmy Award­–winning composer, multi-Platinum RIAA awarded record producer, and author of In Tune: Music As The Bridge To Mindfulness. Varun Soni, Vice Provost for Campus Wellness and Crisis Intervention and Dean of Religious Life at USC, will moderate.
